The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) continues to expand its Casa Herbalife program, designed to bring good nutrition to children around the world.

Through the Casa Herbalife program, we work with existing charitable organizations to ensure children are being fed healthy and nutritious meals. Herbalife Family Foundation: Hurricane Disaster Relief
Supported by contributions from Distributors and employees, the Herbalife Family Foundation, together with Herbalife, donated approximately $400,000 to the American Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Stan. The Red Cross is using donations to provide much-needed food, shelter, emergency financial assistance and physical and mental health services.

Herbalife Family Foundation: Tsunami Disaster Relief
In response to the December 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia and Africa, Herbalife championed fundraising to support tsunami disaster relief efforts. The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) — a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization created to assist children in need — set up a special fund to accept donations, which were donated to Save the Children and SOS Children's Villages — two international organizations that focus on the needs of children. Both organizations were already well established in the affected regions.

The fundraising benefited:

  • Save the Children. This organization – which works to meet the emergency and long-term needs of some of the region’s poorest children and families–had teams on the ground in many of the hardest hit areas, including Aceh Province in Indonesia. Teams delivered fuel, supplies, temporary shelter materials and food, especially for children under 5. Herbalife's partnership with Save the Children dates back to the first HFF donation to help in Kosovo in 1999.
  • SOS Children's Villages. SOS has been the HFF focus in India for six years. SOS staff in Nagapattinum, India — which was heavily affected — worked in tents providing first-aid and moving in additional resources to help children, many of whom lost their parents in the tsunami.
